A short while back we saw Kim Dotcom begin teasing the relaunch of Mega. Dotcom had announced that the new home would be Me.ga, a domain from the country of Gabon. And well, almost as soon as that announcement had come — we had word of issues with the me.ga domain name. To be specific, Gabon was not going to allow that and it had been hacked. Taking all that aside though, Dotcom seems to be taking these issues in stride and has already announced the new name — mega.co.nz. The news came by way of Twitter where Dotcom had this to say;
“New Zealand will be the home of our new website: Mega.co.nz – Powered by legality and protected by the law.”
Finally, the new Mega is still expected to launch on January 20, 2013.
