Verizon has announced that it plans to start loading a collection of Amazon apps its handsets. The first handset scheduled to get the suite is the Droid DNA. The collection includes the Amazon MP3 store, IMDB, Audible, Kindle, and the Amazon App Store mobile apps.

For those wondering, Google Play will still be available on the handsets as well, but it does make you wonder if Verizon is considering forcing the Amazon App Store on users the way it forced Bing. It would be  a pretty outrageous and controversial move for them to do so, but I’m sure some users will be concerned. My guess is that to some it will prove useful and to others, it’ll just be more annoying bloatware.
