While the Nexus 7 Wi-Fi + Mobile Data is an unlocked tablet, those who make the purchase will find an AT&T SIM card in the box. Sure, you can still pop out the AT&T SIM and use one from T-Mobile, however it is interesting to see this change in the Google Play Store listing. In addition to the inclusion of the AT&T SIM, the product listing for the Nexus 7 Wi-Fi + Mobile Data now has a section called “Introducing AT&T” where they talk about AT&T mobile broadband. More specifically, where they push the AT&T DataConnect plans. That being said, AT&T customers that have a share plan will be able to add the tablet on for just $10 per month. Otherwise, AT&T has pre-paid data plans available with 250MB for $14.99, 3GB for $30 or 5GB for $50.
