It was just yesterday we began hearing chatter about issues with the Google Voice app on Android 4.2. And well, Google appears to have quickly addressed the issue. The Google Voice app has been updated and the latest release can be found in the Google Play store. This update brings the app up to version 0.4.2.66 where it remains available for devices running Android 2.0 or later. Perhaps more important though, the changes that were included in this update. The changelog only has a few items listed, Google noted that the app is now integrated with Android 4.0 visual voicemail and that users will have direct access to folders from the inbox in Android 4.0. In addition, there were some unspecified “bug fixes.” That said, we do have one reminder for those planning to update the app — “you must open Google Voice at least once after upgrading to route calls.”
