Nook Color users looking to experiment a bit, you now have the option to run nightly builds of CyanogenMod 10. Well, I guess this would technically be experimenting more than a little bit. That thought aside though, those willing to play will be able to get a new build of CM10 every single night. And for those not familiar with CM10, this is a build based off of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Of course, if you are unfamiliar with CyanogenMod, we would suggest doing some research before heading down the path of playing with nightly builds. And as always, anything you decide is on yourself. In other words, if you somehow brick your Nook Color, done blame us here at GadgeTell. Finally, while the version of CM10 for the Nook Color should be fairly stable, one issue that was listed was about “rare reports of high pitched noise on some hardware versions when coming out of sleep (but not confirmed).” Again, have fun, but proceed at your own risk.
