There’s a new version of the Google Play Android that’s rolling out now. This brings the application up to version 3.10.9. As usual there is no changelog, but there are some new additions that will be hard to miss. The most obvious addition is a new screen that pops up once you start downloading and installing an app.
As you can see from the image, Google Play will automatically suggest additional apps that are similar to the one you started downloading. In my case, downloading Spotify brought in recommends for Spotify-inspired applications. I wouldn’t go so far as to say these are good recommendations, but this is what we have to deal with for now.
Google Play also helps to determine recommendations by examining your Google+ account. If you add people you know to the recommendations page, Google will try to match up apps that share their particular interests.
Other new features discovered by Android Police includes the option to translate app descriptions to your device’s native language and the ability to remove items from your Wishlist.
