There’s been a lot of hoopla lately surrounding a possible upcoming “Facebook smartphone”, but before hearing something official about that social networking fanatics on the go should be happy to hear about the introduction of the Nokia Asha 205.
This is only a “dumb phone”, meaning that it doesn’t have an operating system, but if all you do on your phone is text and update your Facebook status this will do quite nicely. The Asha 205 has a large physical QWERTY keyboard, a dedicated FB button and a 2.4-inch non-touch display.
Despite looking a bit outdated, the handheld weighs only 94 grams and comes in an array of hip colors, including cyan, magenta and yellow. You can also always go for the more traditional black or white versions, but beware, there are only 64 MB of internal memory and a very poor VGA camera on the back.
One feature that might put this little guy’s spec sheet back on track is the typical Nokia-made hefty battery life, while connectivity is unfortunately limited to 2G. The phone will come in two versions, single and dual-SIM, for yet to be specified prices.
