With HTC’s Windows Phone 8X and the Nokia Lumia 920 up for grabs for a while, you can’t say WP enthusiasts have nothing to choose from to fill their hearts with joy. Still, everybody’s waiting to see how Samsung, the crowned Android king, can handle this new market niche and how will the juicy Ativ S perform.
Unfortunately, Sammy’s been putting off the 4.8-incher’s release and is now risking losing its hard-gained momentum. The Ativ S has once again seen its launch rescheduled, this time for “the last week of 2012”.
That means the phone will be missing out on a big chunk of the holiday season, though some retailers, like Expansys or Clove UK, are offering it in limited quantities right now. No words on exactly what is causing all these delays, but some reports claim that a big part of Europe won’t get the Ativ S until next year.
Too bad, if you ask us, because the 720p Super AMOLED screen, dual-core Krait processor, 1 GB of RAM, 8 MP camera and 2,300 mAh battery look awfully appealing, but still have a hotness “expiration date”.
