We recently saw an update for the Rdio app on iOS devices. And well, it looks like that same update has since come available for those rocking something with Android. The update, which brings Rdio for Android up to version 2.4.1 brings a few new features along with a new user interface design. More specifically, Rdio for Android now has a remote control and slide-out navigation as well as a unified player.

  • Remote Control. Control the web version of Rdio from a mobile device, and vice versa.
  • Unified Player. Sync your Queue and what you’re currently listening to across the web and mobile versions of Rdio. Play a song on your laptop, pause it, and pick up where you left off on your phone or tablet.
  • New Design. A clean, white interface and sliding side navigation that’s accessible throughout the app.

Otherwise, the app is available for devices with Android 2.2 or later and while Rdio is free to download, you will need a subscription to get any use. And just for the record, the Rdio subscription is $9.99 per month.
