It was only two weeks ago that AT&T unveiled the Rugby III for the first time, but for some reason the carrier felt the ruggedized feature phone needed additional formal introduction. So, here it is once again, this time with an official release date and pricing for the regular folk.
AT&T will be selling this bad boy for $99.99 with a two-year contract starting on December 14. To be perfectly frank, that seems a bit steep, considering this is no more than a “dumb phone”. An awfully tough and reliable waterproof, dust proof and shock resistant device, but a “dumb” one nevertheless.
Not to mention it’s a flip phone and those went out of style years ago. Still, this launches with Enhanced PTT, so enterprise users might not be too bothered about the lack of Android, the 2.4-inch QVGA display and the 3 MP camera.
