When Microsoft released its Xbox SmartGlass application in Google Play, it didn’t have support for 7-inch tablets such as the Nexus 7. Despite this huge oversight, Android users figured out they could sideload the app and get the same functionality as smartphones. If you decided to not sideload the app from unknown sources, you can grab the updated SmartGlass app on Google Play right now.
Even though you’ll be able to officially use your tablet as a remote for your Xbox 360, second screen gaming has still eluded Android users. It’s currently not possible to use SmartGlass to compliment games such as Halo 4 and Forza Horizon.
The latest update also fixes a couple crashes relating to the achievements and settings screen. I recommend uninstalling the sideloaded version and sticking with the Google Play app from now on.
