What’s the one thing you should never do when you’re trying to regain your lost popularity in the mobile phone universe? Announce a phone’s release for a specific date, fail to launch it and get really, really quiet on the matter.
Unfortunately, that’s exactly what HTC did with the One VX, which was supposed to hit AT&T on November 16. However, if it’s any consolation, it seems that the device is still heading to US’s number two carrier on December 7 (this Friday).
The “news” is far from official, but the info has been confirmed by an AT&T spokesperson, so it’s (barely) credible. No update on pricing, so we should still expect the VX to start at $50 with a two-year contract. As for specs, the One VX should include a 4.5-inch S-LCD 2 display with 960 x 540 pix resolution, a dual-core S4 Plus CPU, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal memory, a 5 MP camera, Android 4.0 and LTE.
