Toshiba is not about to bow out of the Android tablet wars as the company just announced the availability of its new Excite 10 SE tablet. Perhaps knowing that Google may have scored a winner by releasing the Nexus 10, the Toshiba Excite 10 SE is also a 10-inch device with a hard-to-resist price tag of $349.99. That’s $50 dollar cheaper than price of the Nexus 10.
Specs-wise, the Toshiba Excite 10 SE is comparable with the Nexus 10. These specs include a 10-inch AutoBrite HD touchscreen display, NVIDIA Tegra 3 Super 4-Plus quad core processor, 3MP rear-facing camera with auto-focus and digital zoom, HD front-facing camera and the usual connectivity suspects such as 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0. It also has MicroSD, and Micro USB ports.
The device though runs only Android 4.1 Jelly Bean as compared to the Nexus 10′s Android 4.2. But we’re pretty sure, the tablet will get the same Android flavor soon. Interested with the Excite 10 SE tablet? Toshiba says it will be ready for you come December 6 at select Toshiba outlets.
