It’s been a while since we last heard about an addition to HP’s EliteBook line of business-oriented premium notebooks, but the waiting might have paid off big-time. The Revolve is the name of the latest EliteBook laptop to be made official and it’s all one could ask for: portable, elegant, snappy and sturdy.
Sporting an 11.6-inch Gorilla Glass display with a 1,366 x 768 pixels resolution, this is no regular laptop, but a convertible gadget with a rotating panel. Though it’s not an ultrabook per se, being just a tad too thick, under the hood you’ll find familiar specs for that class of notebooks – Intel Core i3, i5 or i7 CPUs, up to 256 GB of solid-state storage and 4 GB of RAM (upgradeable).
The nicest surprises however come from the featuring of a SIM card slot, the backlit keyboard and the awesome design. Though it’s in compliance with MIL-STD 810G military standards and therefore almost bulletproof, the Revolve weighs less than three pounds and comes with a mesmerizing metallic body with rubbery accents.
No words on pricing just yet, while the release is scheduled for March 2013.
