Skylar Graika and his brother Casey are independent video game developers from Washington. Having been active for five years together, their current project is an attempt to break out into the mainstream world of gamers. But as most independently-funded creatives, these guys need help.
Sphero Glide is a 3D flight simulator made for iPad, iPhone and Android devices. It utilizes the Sphero computer ball gaming system. Unlike anything else in the market, the Sphero, by Orbotix is an interactive controller inside a durable plastic shell. Used in a variety of ways, the Glide video game app is an excellent use of the controller’s augmented reality capabilities; meaning that your body movement affects your character’s movement on screen.
In hopes of adding to the twenty-plus available games from the Sphero App store, Sphero Glide is fundraising to reach their $10,000 goal and are darn close to the $8,600 mark as of Thursday. The brothers have until Sunday, December 9th to reach their goal.
