Nothing says ‘Merry Christmas’ or ‘Happy Hanukkah’ like a pay-as-you-go cell phone plan. Let me rephrase– I can’t think of anything else that’s as synonymous with holiday spirit than burner phones. Hmm, that’s not right either. I meant something like: ‘Chestnuts roasting on a open flame, low fees on my phone bill…’
Well, any who — during this 2012 holiday season, cell-phone provider T-Mobile will be embarking on their ‘Unlimited Cheer’ tour. From December 5th through the 20th, representatives will travel from coast to coast, stopping in twelve cities to spread said holiday cheer. The travelers will be stopping at T-Mobile stores along the way to host fun holiday-themed festivities and meet-and-greets with professional athletes (rumor has it footballers Charles Tillman, DeSean Jackson and Terell Suggs are involved, though again: rumor has it and don’t quote me.)
They’ll have prizes and give-aways and activities to get attendees pumped for the holidays and for their products.
Insider information about where the tour is headed, the company will be dropping tips and hints on their social media pages (Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare), so make sure you ‘like’ or ‘follow’ or ‘check-in’ where they apply right now.
The company is awarding the first person to ‘check-in’ at each secret T-Mobile store locations on Four Square with a Samsung Galaxy Note II with a year of service; also a MOGA mobile gaming system. The three participants to check-in after the first will win some cool stuff too though. They’ll receive a Samsung Galaxy S III, a $50 gift card and a Bluetooth enabled handheld controller. All others who check-in will get 30% off a single accessory at the retail store where the event is to be taking place.
The cheer does not end there, friends. If the tour isn’t coming to your town or you just can’t make it out to the T-Mobile store that day, you can still be in the running for a Samsung Galaxy Note II, as well as other prizes. Just visit their Facebook page and participate in their “Naughty or Nice” Poll.
Keep those starry eyes and toasty ears open for the T-Mobile team because they may be coming to your city any day now. Get involved and get festive, people.
