The “is it coming, is it not?” Samsung ATIV S saga seems to be finally on the verge of completion, with an unexpected happy ending rising from the fog of mystery. We’ve heard so many rumors about the phone’s release lately that we honestly don’t know where to start, so let’s just focus on the facts, shall we?

Fact number one – the ATIV S has (barely) made it through in time for the holidays. Fact number two – the Windows Phone 8 device is up for grabs in Austria, via T-Mobile. Number three – it’s only available in Austria for the time being, going for free with a new carrier agreement.

You’ll of course be getting an ATIV S with 16 GB of on-board storage if you go through T-Mo right now, while all the other specs are those that we’ve known for a while – 4.8-inch 720p Super AMOLED display, dual-core 1.5 GHz “Krait” CPU, 1 GB of RAM, 8 MP camera, 2,300 mAh battery.

Getting back in rumor land real quick, let’s say the ATIV S is expected to hit Sweden next, while other select European countries should get it in the following weeks as well.
