Finally, for those whose lives were distracted when Google Maps was pulled out as a stock app for  iPhone, you can now go back to your normal lives as soon as you’ve downloaded the new Google Maps app. That’s right dear readers, Google Maps is available again from the iTunes App Store. According to Google, the mobile app was designed from the ground up and combines the comprehensiveness and accuracy of Google Maps.

Like what it has always been, Google Maps for iOS provides you with an interface that will help you find locations in a faster and easier way. The official Google Blog further describes the new Google Maps app as follows:

The app shows more map on screen and turns mobile mapping into one intuitive experience. It’s a sharper looking, vector-based map that loads quickly and provides smooth tilting and rotating of 2D and 3D views. The search box at the top is a good place to start—perhaps by entering the name of a new and interesting restaurant. An expandable info sheet at the bottom shows the address, opening hours, ratings and reviews, images, directions and other information.

Google Maps for iPhone also includes more than 80 million businesses and points of interest. It also lets you preview where you want to go with Street View as well as see inside places with Business Photos. The app also has voice-guided, turn-by-turn navigation and live traffic conditions – making it useful when you’re out and about exploring a new city or area.

Google Maps is available now from the App Store and is compatible with iPhone and iPod Touch running on iOS 5.1 and higher.
