After hitting a predictable Galaxy S3 home run and a surprising one with the Note, Samsung wowed us again with the Galaxy Note 2. The 5.5-inch “phablet” was not only humongous, but snazzy and snappy as they come, with an ultra-thin body, an uber-cool stylus and a quad-core Exynos 1.6 GHz CPU.
Still, there was something that made a lot of tech enthusiasts think twice before getting the second-gen Note – its “premium” price. Fortunately, that’s what holidays are for and, if you’ve been nice this year, Santa might get you a $99.99 GNote 2 from Sprint.
Amazon Wireless is selling Sprint’s “beast” for the special price, but there are a couple of catches. First off, only new Sprint customers can take advantage of the deal, while existing ones wanting to upgrade or add a line will be asked to pay 200 bucks. Also, if you’re counting on Santa to bring the phone to you, forget about it – it’s already back-ordered and ships in 1 to 2 weeks.
But if waiting and signing up to a new contract are not issues, you can have your pick from the white and titanium Note 2 models right now. Enjoy!
