Samsung today has finally put the wraps off its latest smartphone offering, the Samsung Galaxy Grand. From what we can see from the published press photo, this handset seemed to be a lot like the Galaxy Note 2, albeit with a smaller WVGA screen which may not make you excited at all. Anyway, it’s still worth your time to take a look at this phone especially if you’re not into the market for the Note 2 or Galaxy S3.

All that being said, the Samsung Galaxy Grand features a 5-inch WVGA display (800×480), 1.2GHz dual-core processors, Android 4.1.2, 8MP camera, 2MP front-facing camera with 720p video calls, 2,000 mAh battery, 8GB built-in memory, microsD slot, HSPA_ Bluetooth, DLNA, and WiFi.

Samsung said that the Galaxy Grand will be available in dual-SIM version (GT-I9082) and single SIM version (GT-I9080). No words yet though on when this handset will be released as well as which markets will get it first.
