Viber Mobile App for iOS and Android Updated, Company Reports Reaching 140M+ Userbase

When it comes to providing voice call over the internet, two of the leading service providers are Skype and Viber. Well, Viber actually is playing catch-up with Skype and as of right now it looks like it is doing pretty well as the company reports that there are now 140M+ users of its services. With such a feat, it is but fitting that its mobile apps for iOS and Android receive an update.

So, Viber version 2.3 is now available for download from both the iTunes App Store and Google Play store. New in the version for Android devices are the following features:

  • Share stickers with friends, making messaging fun
  • Include emoticons in text messages
  • Send any locations as messages
  • Enhanced messaging experience with new interface and sounds
  • Connect with your friends in group conversations of up to 40 participants
  • Option to use your device’s sounds instead of Viber’s
  • Added Bluetooth support

The iOS version of Viber has the following new features:
