HTC One S users can now let their Ice Cream Sandwiches melt, as Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean has been available for global users to download. Although promised in July of 2012, the Android 4.1.1 never reached fruition as projected.

This was also the case when it was promised in October of 2012 but HTC One X global users started to receive the update last month. XDA developers discovered the link which will finally bring Google’s butter to the handset.

No carrier has stated that any of the U.S. models of the One S have started to receive the update but it’s a good idea to check your model if you’re a subscriber. It can be exasperating to be promised a crucial update but receiving it 6 months later is a better-late-than-never type situation.
