With the majority of U.S. carriers already presenting this feature to their customers, AT&T is a bit behind the eight ball with the multi-window ability. Reaching out to each of their registered customers through an e-mail, the company stated that the update, enabling said feature will come to the Note II on December 27th.
A plus however is that the update can be acquired over-the-air. Also, using Samsung Kies updater can be tedious and confusing to non-adapative users.
There’s been no word on if the ROM will be released in intervals to decrease the enter-impact on AT&T’s servers. Read the full letter below.

AT&T plans to begin rolling out a software update for Samsung Galaxy Note II customers that includes the Multi-Window feature, which allows the user to divide the screen into two active “windows” creating a split screen that enables fluid multitasking between applications. The update will be available for download over the air beginning Dec. 27.
