BLU Products is definitely not a name to be reckoned with in today’s mobile industry but the future might be holding some nice surprises for the Latin America-based tech manufacturer. The Vivo 4.3 smartphone has garnered some media attention for BLU last summer and now it’s time for the company to try to capitalize on that (still small) popularity with a bigger, better equipped Vivo 4.65 HD.
As you have probably already guessed, the new handheld sports a 4.65-inch display (of the Super AMOLED variation), while boasting an overall decent, but not a crazy-impressive spec sheet. There’s a 1.2 GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6577 CPU under the hood, Android 4.0 ICS, 1 GB of RAM, an 8 MP rear-facing snapper, 3G/HSPA connectivity and “true” dual SIM capability allowing both SIMs to be active and receive call simultaneously.
But here’s the kicker – the Vivo 4.65 HD will start selling in January 2013 for $299.99 in its unlocked flavor. The phone will be available in the US, but also in Latin America and parts of Asia. Now tell me those specs and features don’t sound awesome for just 300 bucks!
