Coby has no shortage of Android tablets. At CES 2012, I came across nine different tablets from Coby at the same time. Coby is going to be at CES again this year, and we’re expecting to see the Coby MID7065 among the lot. According to Liliputing, this tablet will go on sale this year for $150.

Coby is joining other companies in releasing budget Android tablets. Unlike the earlier days of Android tablets, this new breed of budget tablets appear to be quality products. Coby has to compete with the likes of Acer and maybe even Google itself for market share. Will the MID7065 give them a fighting chance? You tell me.

We don’t have many specs to go off of, but this tablet supposedly has a 1.2Ghz dual core processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable storage. It’s backed up by Android 4.0.

I’m afraid Coby already made a mistake by shipping with Ice Cream Sandwich instead of Jelly Bean. On the plus side, the MID7065 does come with Google Play installed. Coby’s previous tablets were loaded with third-part app stores. Baby steps I suppose.

Should we make our way to Coby’s space at CES, we’ll see how this tablet holds up in person.
