Canon today has announced its latest offering in the Powershot digital camera series, the Canon Powershot N. With too many Powershot cameras in its lineup, it has already become difficult to distinguish these cameras. So it’s quite surprising that Canon can still manage to come up with a new digital camera with some unique features of its own.
So what makes the Canon Powershot N different from the rest of the Powershot digital cameras? For one thing, this digital shooter comes with what Canon calls as innovative Creative Shot mode. This enhances artistic expression and a variety of new connectivity features that support instant sharing. Hence, Canon is posing the Powershot N as an ultimate storytelling digital tool.
The Canon Powershot N features enhanced wireless capabilities. This means that you can easily share high-quality images with your friends and family even while on the move. The camera has a Mobile Device Connect Button which will connect the camera to a variety of mobile devices. After pressing this Mobile Device Connect Button, the Canon Camera Window app will be launched to transfer photos and videos wirelessly, for both iOS and Android.
Specs of the Canon Powershot N seems quite impressive as well; with its 2.8-inch capacitive, tilt-touch panel LCD, 8x optical zoom, 28mm wide-angle lens, 12.1MP high-sensitivity CMOS sensor, DIGIC 5 Image Processor, 1080p full HD video with dedicated movie button, built-in Hybrid Auto and Face ID systems, and a battery pack that offers 30 percent longer battery life, thanks to its ECO Mode which dims the screen and eventually shuts off the display when the device has been idle for 10 seconds.
The Canon Powershot N is expected to be released in April 2013 for a suggested retail price of $299.99.
