We’re not sure how you felt about Vizio as an Android player until today, but after this year’s CES you should definitely give the company’s gadgets a shot. After talking about the awesome tablet duo unveiled in Vegas a few hours ago, we now have word about two pretty cool smartphones as well.
Unfortunately, we should tell you from the get-go that the handhelds are intended to only hit China, so you can look, but you can’t touch them in the West.
That said, let’s move on to the spec sheets – or at least the parts we know of. The 5-incher is supposed to be a high-ender with a 1080p display, a dual-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm CPU (probably Snapdragon S4), 2 GB of RAM and stock Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
As for the smaller 4.7-incher, that should target the mid-range niche of China’s smartphone market, with a 1.2 GHz dual-core MediaTek CPU, 1 GB of RAM, dual SIM support and “vanilla” JB. No words on ETAs and exact prices and, with the official names also kept under wraps, we suspect it might be a while until we hear something new about the two.
