Few things can make for such a fun personal experience than hitting the open road and bringing some books-on-tape along. Their modern embodiment, audiobooks, are the easiest means of devouring a long book when your eyes are busy with more important tasks than reading lines.

Understandably audiobooks are not for all people. Personally, I too prefer good old paper and ink but as in the said example, those times when it’s impossible to curl up with a book, their audio versions are there for you. For readers new to audiobooks and for veteran enthusiasts alike, is providing deals to be excited about.

The company has announced on Monday that they will now offer two subscription plans for users to pay per month for access to the website’s e-library. For $14.95, members can choose one book from the best-seller or classic favorites section (over 25,000 titles) for instant streaming. At $22.95, members can choose up to two audiobooks for listening pleasure, per month.

“Our research shows that most audiobook fans listen to one or two audiobooks a month,” said Ian Small, General Manager of “Our plans are tailored to give these audiobook listeners the best value for their dollar.”

The company is currently offering a seven-day trial as a promotion to spread awareness of the new service. Users can scan the library and give something a listen on their smart device, ultimately deciding is the subscription is right for them.

“We encourage potential customers to check out competitor prices — they’ll quickly find that we’re offering the best value with the most convenience, delivering great listens instantly, anywhere, including on Apple and Android smartphones and tablets with free apps,” Small declared.
