With Samsung’s Galaxy Note 2 released less than four months ago, some of you might think that Sammy has more stringent business to tend to, than worrying about the next fellow in the series. The thing is, there’s already a lot of buzz surrounding the third-gen Note “phablet,” seeing as the second one has hit more than a few sweet spots for tech enthusiasts.
That said, we shouldn’t be terribly surprised that the Galaxy Note 3 is already making the rumor rounds, with two details leaked about it. According to a report coming straight from Korea, Samsung’s homeland, the Note 3 will be sporting a crazy large 6.3-inch panel and feature one of the brand spanking new Exynos 5 Octa CPUs under its hood.
True or false? We have absolutely no idea, but the story is completely believable. After all, as cuckoo as a 6.3-inch “handheld” might have sounded a while ago, Huawei got very close to that with the 6.1-inch Ascend Mate. As for the 8-core SoC, that was revealed by Samsung at CES 2013, and, while there’s only an outside chance it’ll be powering the Galaxy S4, it should definitely be inside a real device by the end of the year.
