According to a leaked roadmap, Sammy is prepping at least four new devices for the first half of the year, one tablet and three phones. The most exciting product is by far the Galaxy Note 8.0, but in all honesty we knew that was coming for a while.
Still, it’s nice to get further confirmation of the tab’s existence, as well as of its specs – 1,280 x 800 pix res display, Android 4.2, quad-core 1.6 GHz CPU, 4,600 mAh battery.
As for the trio of upcoming Sammy phones, that’s not awfully exciting, including one rugged mid-ranger, the Galaxy Xcover 2, and two entry-level devices, the Galaxy Young and Pocket Plus. The first should come with a 4-inch WVGA display and 1 GHz dual-core CPU in February, the second will be out in April with both single and dual SIM support, while the Pocket Plus should be up for grabs starting later this month.
Like I said, nothing too hot, but we think something much cooler is out there too.
