While most of us “big shots” interested only in the cream of the Android crop are in for multiple treats from Samsung, LG and HTC, those of you that are budget-conscious above all mayfeel left out. But there’s no reason to pout, my friends, as there’s at least one new mid-range Android phone coming to satisfy your thirst for performance while keeping your pockets intact.
Meet the LG VS870, a Verizon-bound fellow that’s just got FCC’s stamp of approval. Though we know very little about the handheld, we can assume, based on the model number, that it’s going to be a Big Red-exclusive variant of AT&T’s LG Escape.
The Escape was released in September 2012 with a 4.3-inch 960 x 540 pixels resolution display, a dual-core 1.2 GHz CPU, 1 GB of RAM and Android 4.0, so chances are the VS870 will be coming with similar specs. However, a tweak or two are to be expected, so the new guy might add some Jelly Bean butter and wireless charging in the mix. Groovy!
