Samsung already has a very rich ‘Galaxy,’ filled with phones and tablets that each cater to different needs of technology enthusiasts, but there can never be too many choices, right? That said, you should be ready to welcome a new Sammy mid-ranger soon, known at this time by its GT-I8730 model number and “Express” codename.
Though the device is far from official, its soon-to-happen launch is a certainty, seeing as it has gotten FCC’s stamp of approval. But here’s what confuses us a bit – there’s already a Galaxy Express on AT&T. And it’s not even very old, being released in November 2012.
So, will this new guy be an improved version of AT&T’s Express? A model for another carrier? A distant relative that hasn’t been in touch for a while? No idea, but we do know some of its specs – a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm MSM8930 CPU, Android 4.1.2, a 480 x 800 pix res display, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and 4G LTE.
Not too great, especially that low-res panel, but not too shabby either, with both NFC and LTE. Now let’s just see the pricing and the carriers that’ll be picking it up.
