Does anyone remember Samsung’s Galaxy Premier? Anyone at all? Oh, well, we can’t blame you if you don’t. After all, it didn’t look like anything other than a downsized washed-up Galaxy S3.
But what if there was a new Premier around with some added “muscles”? Got your curiosity? If so, we might as well tell you that Samsung is in fact set to launch a new flavor of the Galaxy Premier next month in Korea and brand it as the Galaxy Pop.
The Pop will look exactly the same as the “international” Premier and boast most of the same specs, with two major exceptions. The new guy will add 4G LTE speeds in the mix and replace the dual-core 1.5 GHz TI OMAP 4470 CPU inside its forefather with a much snappier quad-core 1.4 GHz Exynos 4412 chip.
It’s true, that makes the Galaxy Pop resemble the OG GS3 even more, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing, is it? Especially when their common points are treats like Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, 8 MP rear-facing cameras and 1 GB of RAM.
