The soon to be unveiled HTC M7 is the talk of the Android town for a while, but that’s not everything HTC is prepping for the near future. According to new rumors, there are two other phones due out in the next few months, codenamed M4 and G2.
The first of the duo is supposed to feature a 4.3-inch 720p display, a 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon CPU, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of on-board storage, a 13 MP rear-facing snapper, a 1.6 MP front-facing cam, a 1,700 mAh battery and Android Jelly Bean (either 4.1 or 4.2).
Not exactly the spec sheet of a lifetime (at least compared with the M7), but it should still be enough to put this fellow in the upper mid-range class of the Android world.
As for the G2, that’s going to be a much more modest mid-ranger (or maybe even low-ender), with a 3.5-inch HVGA screen, a 1 GHz CPU, 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of internal memory, a 5 MP rear-facing camera, a 1,400 mAh battery and Android 4.0 ICS. It doesn’t sound great, but priced correctly it could stand a chance.
No specific pricing or availability details are known at this time, but if our sources prove to be correct both phones will be out in the spring.
