The Chinese tech company Huawei has been inching into American markets with it’s Ascend series Android smartphones. Having a big presence at CES last month, we’re expecting the company to show up to the upcoming MWC in a similar fashion.
Some leaked photos of the soon-released Huawei Ascend P2 were published Wednesday morning by Chinese tech site, QQ Tech. They show the 4.7-inch full HD, Android 4.1.2-equipped smartphone with a smooth, black finish. Although it appears as a prototype, it could be the real thing.

To recap, the Ascend P2 is rumored to pack a 1.8 GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, 8GB of on-board storage with a microSD slot to add more, and a 13MP camera. We can expect further P2 details to roll out leading up to MWC and hopefully concrete information will be revealed at the event in Barcelona later this month.
