The New York Times has quite a long piece on this new Apple rumor. And I have to admit, the idea has appeal, depending on what it could do.
I stopped wearing a watch several years ago, and I just use my phone as a timepiece. But there are several things that would be handy on my wrist. I particularly liked the idea of navigation. It’s not comfortable walking down the street in the middle of Washington, D.C. with my iPhone in my hand. Having navigation in a watch would be much better.
Passbook payments would be another welcome feature. I used Passbook at Starbucks all the time. Not having to juggle my phone would be welcome.
That said, as with most Apple rumors, it’s safest to take a “wait and see” approach. Even if an Apple watch is coming in the future, it could be in the pretty far future.
What about you? What would you like most about an Apple watch?
