We covered the new Google app, Google Now a few weeks back and needless to say, had mixed reviews of it’s borderline-eerie convenience.
On a few of the Google Nexus smartphone support pages (Nexus 4, 10 and the Galaxy Nexus) on Monday, the company displayed an image and a description of a Google Now widget, seemingly by accident. The webpage outlined the widget which “displayed a summary of your current Google Now cards, either on a Home screen or on the lock screen.”
The aforementioned support pages have since been deleted, furthering the notion of the leak to be a mistake.
The all-encompassing personal web system is Google’s latest big project and although a roll-out date for when we can expect the widget on Nexus devices is unknown as of yet. Chances are that we’ll see it in the phone line’s next Android (4.2.2) update, which is also unannounced as of now.
