It’s not easy to make an impression in the crowded and competitive Windows 8 tablet world of today, but when your baby packs Core i3 and i5 CPUs, an 11-inch Full HD panel and 4 GB of RAM it’s obvious you have a winner on your hands.
Unfortunately, Acer has bizarrely marketed the Iconia W700 as a desktop replacement until now, bundling the actual tab with a desktop docking station, a wireless mouse and a large and comfy keyboard. An awesome combo if you work from home, but not so great if you’re the traveling type.
But worry not, as Acer has (finally) started selling the W700P in a more portable bundle, with a folio case similar to that of the Surface Pro. The cover comes with a sleek and smooth silver keyboard, so the entire ensemble is absolutely splendid.
As you can imagine, style and productivity come at a quite prohibitive price, with Amazon Germany currently charging EUR 1,100 ($1,465) for the package. The combo is not available anywhere in the States yet, but we hope it’ll swing by America soon and cost no more than 1,100 bucks. Maybe even as less as $1,000? Doubtful, but one can certainly dream.
