Facebook is following through with its word to keep its Android application updated regularly with features that are easy to utilize. Today’s update is simplistic in nature, but it eliminates one of the app’s most recent annoyances. It’s now possible to change the cover photo of your Facebook profile directly from your timeline.

I know it may not seem like much, but I was happy to see Facebook making this endeavor easier. I tried to change my cover photo from the app last week, but gave up because I couldn’t figure it out fast enough. With the new update, simply tapping on the cover photo will bring up options for viewing the photo and changing it completely. Any new photo you plan to use will either be pulled from your device’s storage, or taken with your camera.

Although Facebook for Android is a lot better than it used to be, the negative Google Play reviews keep coming in. Crashes, freezes and lag are still persistent problems in the Android community. It’s also a tough problem to avoid. There are so many different Android devices out there. It’s impossible to keep an app running smoothly on every single one. Despite what the common opinion appears to be, the app still has a nearly four-star rating with over 100 million installs on Android alone.
