Rhino Shield: The Impact Resistant Screen Protector

Gorilla glass is an amazing product, but the problem is that no matter how tough and strong it’s made to be, it’s still glass. Many and more smartphones and tablets are using Corning Gorilla Glass because of its strength and scratch-resistance, but those same devices are still prone to serious screen damage.

Enter Evolutive Labs and the Rhino Shield. Rhino Shield is a patent pending and custom formulated polymer, which offers extraordinary impact absorption and transparency. It is designed to be used in conjunction with any smart device case, or on its own.

The team claims that the specially-designed shock-damping layer is able to take at least 5 times the impact energy of Gorilla Glass 2 on its own, thanks to the unique polymer technology. Another layer in the Rhino Shield utilizes a scratch resistant coating technology to provide hardness up to 3H, preventing direct scratch damage to your screen.

The shield is 0nly 0.028 cm in thickness, which makes it very case-friendly. The thickness of typical screen protector ranges from 0.015 to 0.020 cm. An added oleophobic coating technology keeps the Rhino Shield free from fingerprint smudges while keeping all the smoothness and none of the tackiness.
