Although Samsung is nearly guaranteed to not bring anything too special to next week’s MWC, a little something-something will be on display for those with tight budgets. You might remember a sextet of unreleased Sammy devices that leaked a couple of weeks ago, out of which two became official in the meantime.
The Galaxy Star is said to be coming hot on the heels of the Galaxy Young and Fame, even if there’s not much to look forward here. In fact, the Star is most likely to be the lowest fellow on Samsung’s 2013 food chain.
The petite 3-incher will boast a measly 320 x 240 pixels resolution while barely having enough oomph to smoothly run Angry Birds. The CPU’s make and model are unknown at this time, but judging by the 1,200 mAh battery we wouldn’t get our hopes high.
Other rumored specs include a 2 MP camera, 4 GB of on-board storage, microSD support, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, but also Android 4.1 Jelly Bean (quelle surprise). No words on exact pricing, but anything over $200 would sound nuts.
