To all my Android brothers and sisters, this one’s for you. While all of our iOS-based acquaintances have been sending self-destructing photos, text and quick videos to and fro, we may have never imagined to be included in on the fun. But feel left out no more, as that will soon change. Snapchat is now also, officially for Android OS.

After the app’s beta period, the company announced the legit roll out Thursday morning on their blog. It will be available to users with smartphones running on Android 2.2 or higher. The company has said that it wasn’t easy to bring the app to Android, have encountered hardships along the way and greatly encourage users to send in their feedback, adding any encouragement to help make the service better.

The app is available in the Google Play store for free.
