Is anyone still keeping count of all of Alcatel’s smartphones scheduled for 2013 releases? We were just about to give up, only the final days of MWC brought a couple of new guys – the One Touch Snap and Snap LTE.

These follow on the footsteps of the OT Scribe HD, Scribe X, Scribe HD LTE, Idol Ultra, Star, Scribe Easy, Idol X and Fire. My God, are these guys keeping busy!

Now, we won’t hold you accountable if you’ll have trouble picking the Snap and Snap LTE out of a lineup. To be frank, they’re not very special. And yet there’s nothing quite wrong with them either… if you’re into budget mid-rangers.

The OT Snap sports a 4.5-inch qHD screen, a quad-core 1.2 GHz processor, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean (nice!), 4 GB of on-board memory, an 8 MP camera and a 1,800 mAh battery. As for the Snap LTE, that obviously adds 4G speeds in the mix, but also increases the display’s size to 4.65 inches while decreasing the resolution to 854 x 480 pixels.

The processor is a dual-core Snapdragon unit clocked at 1.4 GHz, the battery is a larger 2,200 mAh one, while Android 4.1 butters up this particular device. No words on pricing, while ETAs are set for April (the regular Snap) and July (the LTE version).
