Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2 Ready to Take Europe by Storm

While it’s definitely not the brightest star in Samsung’s “Galaxy” when it comes to raw speed, the Xcover 2 might prove a little slice of heaven for outdoorsy tech aficionados. The thing can take a beating and is both dust and water proof, which is nice… if you live in the Sahara. Or close to a beach somewhere.

Sammy unveiled the 4-incher a few weeks back, but “forgot” to mention any specifics on the big boy’s release. In the meantime, we’ve found out that the Xcover 2 is to hit the ground running in Europe this month.

But when exactly? Well, in Finland, it will go on sale on the 7^th via online retailer Gigantti. Clove UK also has it for pre-order, but with not shipping date mentioned. The rest of the continent is in stand-by for some official news, but we do expect the air to be cleared up by the 15^th.

As far as pricing goes, Finland will get the Xcover 2 for €319 ($415), while in GB it’ll be offered starting at £270 ($410). That’s probably going to be more or less the recommended retail price across Europe, with US set to get it for no more than $350. Any takers?
