There are a number of apps for both Android and iOS users to customize their keyboard, making text messaging more efficient. And since the advent of Windows 8 devices, there are newly released apps of this kind that cater to their platform as well.
The predictive keyboard app, TouchPal, has just released a version for Windows 8 users. The latest version comes with a few cool new features, specifically the split layout which is compatible with both Windows tablets and computers. It’s also stocked with the same features for Android and iOS: sliding input, contextual prediction, blind typing and extendible plugins.
“As Windows 8 machines continue to be adopted by businesses and consumers, we knew that they would need a custom keyboard to make typing easier and faster than ever,” said Michael Wong, CEO of CooTek. “Our Android and iOS versions have significantly improved the mobile experience for users, and we are excited to extend its benefits to Windows 8 device owners.”
TouchPal is designed to make texting easier for busy people, both in the workplace and at home. As a busy mom, I probably text more than I actually talk on the phone. It’s just easier to send a quick message when I’m multitasking.
