Official: AT&T to Launch BlackBerry Z10 on March 22 for $199.99 With Contracts

BlackBerry’s newest flagship device, the Z10, might have been a hit in the UK and Canada, but until seeing how the US tech crowd likes it BB shouldn’t pop open the champagne. We have known for a while that three out four major American carriers will be selling the Z10, but until today there was nothing clear on pricing and release dates.

Now AT&T is officially the first to come forward with such details, basically confirming what several “sources” told us recently. Ma Bell will be opening pre-orders tomorrow, with actual shipping to start late next week, on the 22^nd.

No shocker in the pricing front either – $199.99 with two-year contracts. That’s what we think T-Mobile and Verizon will be charging as well, but the question is whether one or both those networks will be undercutting AT&T and make the phone available earlier.

Big Red is most likely out of contention, whereas “Magenta” could be preparing a surprise for earlier next week. The spec sheet will be the same across the board, with highlights including a 4.2-inch display, dual-core Snapdragon S4 CPU, 2 GB of RAM and 8 MP camera.
