Spotify to Bring Free Mobile Radio Outside U.S. in April

Spotify, one of the top free web-based music streaming services has plans on bringing their service outside of the U.S. in April, Bloomberg reports. The Swedish company will offer free ad-supported internet radio to all mobile carrier markets, with users not having to pay a $5 to $10 subscription fee to use the service.

A monthly subscription fee will provide an upgraded ads-free listening experience, with millions of songs to choose from. Currently, Spotify has over 5 million paid users and 20 million regular non-subscription users, over 17 countries.

There is no word yet as to where the service will begin additionally rolling out to but we can expect it’s expansion to start sometime in April.
