Of course, as we all know by now, Windows Phone 8 operating system hasn’t exactly garnered the attention or the following that iPhone and Android phones have. But that doesn’t mean that WP8 users aren’t loyal to their smartphones — in fact, a survey conducted by PC Magazine puts them in the lead of overall satisfaction.
Regarding mobile operating systems available, WP8 scored a 9.0, with Apple iOS and Android trailing at 8.6 and 8.1, respectively. BlackBerry OS — they placed a 7.1. Not too bad but definitely a bit of a shock to see Windows take the lead in one key mobile category.
The poll also tracked the top reasons for selecting a mobile phone. With ‘operating system’ being the most important to users, again WP8 pulls through with 88-percent, crushing Apple iOS’s score of 37-percent and Android’s 50-percent. Other reasons customers pick the right smartphone for themselves include ‘camera or camcorder quality,’ ‘ ease of use,’ and ‘availability of apps.’ See all the results below.
