Interestingly enough, on the expected release day for Samsung’s Galaxy S IV smartphone, LG is doing it’s best to take the wind from the Korean company’s sails. (Not to say they’re doing a great job, if anything I find it annoying and I think they’re acting like a kid sibling doing their best to outshine big brother — a “look at me, look at me” approach. Seriously?)
Come on, LG, you’re better than that.
Announced Thursday, LG’s new Optimus G Pro Smart Video feature “recognizes the position of the viewer’s eyes and automatically plays or stops the video without any manual input from the user.” Sound familiar?
That’s right. It sounds exactly like the rumored Samsung Smart Pause software, expected to be included on their upcoming Galaxy S IV phone (which we’re about seven hours from meeting.)
The ‘Value Pack,’ as LG calls their Optimus G Pro update package also provides a Dual Camera application, allowing users to simultaneously snap photos on the front and rear cameras. We’ve seen that before in the company’s demo videos. These new features are expected to reach the Optimus G Pro in Korea over the next month with the world to follow.
