No, you don’t get to play Bilbo in an RPG game, but if you are interested in pictures and production information about the movie, this is the app for you.
There’s lots to see here, from animated movie posters (cool but a bit creepy) to a series of production videos (lots of gorgeous New Zealand scenery) and even 360 degree views of Bag End and Hobbiton.
I particularly like the production videos. Yes, they are all available on YouTube, but the app brings them all together in one place. The video quality is excellent.
I also liked the Facebook covers and other picture downloads. If you want to deck out your iPhone or iPad in Hobbit fan finery, you’ll have plenty here to choose from.
No, the app won’t make you more productive or help you stay on top of your social networks, but it’s a fun app if you’re a fan of the movies. And it’s free. What’s not to like?
